Trip to Singapore (WOC)

Singapore will host the 20th World Orchid Conference from 13th to 20th November 2011 at the Marina Bay Sands Expo and Covention Center.

As an orchid enthusiast, it is an opportunity that must not be missed and Perak Orchid Society has organised a 3 day 2 night trip to coincide with the conference.

The chartered bus can hold 30 persons and accommodations will be either at Fragrance Hotel or Hotel 81, the latter is slightly more expensive. As this is a peak period for hotels, we need to book earlier and therefore we ask all members and friends who are interested to register with us so that final arrangements can be made.

The tentative dates will be 14th night to 16th November 2011.

Apart from trips visiting the WOC at the Marina Bay Sands Expo and convention Center, we will try and visit some of the farms in Singapore and Johor Bahru.

The cost of the return trip and hotel accommodation will be RM425 per person on a twin sharing basis for a group with a minimum of 20 persons. If more than 20 persons register, then the price will be adjusted accordingly. The cost of ticket to the WOC is about SGD20 per person (senior citizens are entitled to a discount) but we will try to negotiate for a group discount.

No meals will be provided but the bus will bring us to some of the larger food courts serving some of Singapore's best hawker food
