Perak Orchid Society October ShowThis month's show was also very successful and a total of 120 plants were entered. Best Plant of the show was won by Mr. Boey Keng Chew with his entry of Catasetum Raymond Lener a beautiful plant with two beautiful spikes of more than 10 blooms each.
Best Runner-up was won by Mr. Cha Chuan Tuck with his entry of Den. macrophyllum x Nellie Glade, another showy plant

A total of 22 classes with an extra 3rd were opened. The prizes still stands at RM12:8:5 for 1st., 2nd. and 3rd. respectively, and RM30 and RM20 for best plant and runner-up plant.
The next show, First International Orchid Show Batu Gajah, will be held on the 25th. November to 4th. December 2011 at Arena Square, Jalan Gopeng, Batu Gajah. A map showing the location of Arena Square is appended below.
Prizes will be as follows:
1st. RM100
2nd. RM75
3rd. RM50
Best in Section: RM100
Best In Show : RM1000
Runner-up : RM75
Best Species : RM500
